Born from a deep love for wildlife and conservation, Denise Wagner founded Milele Kenya, to create unforgettable safari experiences that go far beyond the ordinary. What started as behind-the-scenes safaris for zoo groups—designed to offer a closer look at Kenya’s incredible ecosystems—has grown into a range of customized, conservation-focused journeys for all kinds of travellers.
To bring these trips to life, Milele Kenya partners with RAW Africa Eco Tours, led by fellow wildlife expert Brooke Squires. RAW Africa is focussed on safaris that embrace ethical wildlife viewing and sustainable travel, while supporting community and conservation organisations throughout Africa.
With backgrounds in zookeeping, Denise and Brooke offer a unique perspective that brings depth, care, and purpose to every safari. They understand animals, conservation, and what makes a wildlife experience truly meaningful.
Every journey is crafted to inspire, educate, and make a positive impact—on travelers, wildlife, and the communities you visit.

“Bringing people to Kenya on safari is amazing because of the links between the local communities and the wildlife. The combination of wildlife, communities and travellers who want to see the real thing is a great combination for tourism and conservation. My favourite part of Kenya is my home, Il Ngwesi in northern Kenya.”
